Alto Contraste Photo represents an image laboratory where photography and its processes are the main instrument of creation.

The main objective, although not the only one, aims to rescue old processes of photographic capture and manipulation, with special attention to b&w film and developers, both industrial and produced from elements such as “Coffee” (Technique known as Cafenol) and “Paracetamol” (Technique known as Parodinal).

Technology will always be an ally and never an enemy, especially if we measure its use, without losing sight of the perspective that it should always be thought of as a means and never as an end. That’s why the purpose of this space is exactly to be a laboratory, so that it will never be completely ready, being possible through experiments to capture and measure new readings born from the various processes and techniques of capturing and manipulating the image.
